Our goal is to represent the United States, compete, and medal in the SKUD 18 class at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We know there is a long road ahead of us but we are dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate about our sport.
To get there, we will be training and competing in national and international regattas in the four years building up to the Paralympic Games. Currently we are the #1 SKUD team on the 2014 US Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider and we feel we are on the right path to a Paralympic medal. Although running a campaign is rewarding, it is an expensive endeavor. The US Olympic Committee is providing some funding, but the majority of the costs of these regattas falls on us. Please take this journey with us and help us achieve our goal. We appreciate your support!

Buying a boat …
After attending the Worlds in Ireland it was also apparent that we need a newer boat, one of the MKII hulls, to compete at the upper level. Right now we don’t own a boat and have been chartering boats of the older hull design. We are thus trying to raise money to buy our own boat, to train and compete in, and preferably one of the newer hull designs. The total costs will be around $30,000 dollars with everything included such as sails and a trailer. Any donations and support directed at helping us getting a boat is greatly appreciated. Also, we are looking for corporate sponsorships to help out with this large boat expense, if anyone has any ideas please let us know.
